White Balance… Duh!

So I should have known this since I did major in video and every videographer knows that before doing anything you need to white balance and check your zebra stripes. Well why should photography be any different. For the first time I thought I would read up in my manual how to set the white balance on my camera and see what the difference would be like. Now I don’t know which I am more impressed with me actually reading a manual or the fact that doing a manual white balance can make the world of difference. Note: I am also disappointed on the auto white balance of my Nikon. Below you will see two shots. One using the auto white balance and the other presetting it to a white piece of paper.

First Text Post

So I have decided to starting using a new template for my blog that allows me differentiate between a blog post and a photo gallery or portfolio post. I hope you enjoy the new template and please continue to check back and soon for more updates.

Fake Model Photography using Tilt Shift

So a friend of mine was showing me some cool photos he took and then did some post production on using a Tilt Shift technique that makes your photos look like models. Check out the before and after post production.

Post Production… Is it all the rage?

So I decided to test out what it is like to use post production effects on your photos. Clearly it takes a great shot to begin with but what about adding a cool effect to an ok shot? What do you all think?
